Sorry for letting you wait that long but our computer crashed and it took a while to get everything back
Surprisingly all the lions stayed the whole sighting where they were despite the fuss around them
and so we also had such a great time at that sighting but after one hour we dragged ourselves away from them as we still had a bit to drive and on top mother nature was meanwhile also calling heavily.
It was long time ago when we saw along the S25 lions and as we wanted to drive that stretch again the next morning it looked already extreme promissing.
The nearer we came now the H4-2 the dryer it got and we spotted giraffes in the distance but simply had to stop for these little chaps
sitting on a rock and it looked as if they were about to sing us a song.
Also apart from each other they were simply too cute
so we stayed quite a while with them as they were so willingly posing for us and got a couple of disapproals from passengers in cars who came from the lion sighting as we were simply watching birds.
Finally we reached Crocodile Bridge camp for an urgently needed body break and at the parking area inside the camp close to the filing station we spotted a kurrichane thrush on the ground
and also a collared sunbird in one of the many trees there
who checked out curiously the strange thing in Timon’s hand.
After we also stretched our legs a bit we drove into the direction of Gesanftombi and as often large herds of zebras as well as wildebeests were hanging around out of which this cute youngster had to be captured.
Finally we stood again at the dam and it was so good to be back as last year we could not visit this part of the park so we enjoyed our visit in this area this year a bit more. As already noticed during our drives the last days also at Gesanftombi the water level was low but where there is water water birds are not far and at least a couple of Egyptian geese could be seen and also a grey heron.
