Also to claim that anyone was contacted at SANParks and refused to comment is an out and out blue lie. We invite Thompson to publicly produce tangible evidence to support this claim by no later than end of business today.
Well, what if the journalist/s who contacted Kruger and or Police on the morning of Friday 18 January regarding the matter produce their telephone or email records...even after the end of business today?
Then who is lying?
We are certainly not going to reveal any identities, or those of any sources, thank you very much! This is a deadly game and they will have to do so themselves or give permission in writing.
So SP must just do their job and not try to threaten concerned citizens...

If i read the following correct this person is accusing AW forum in this message
It is sad that there is a specific forum on the internet which specialises in spreading rumours which they refuse to substantiate with any facts, always under the guise of "confidential informants."
It is the second time this year alone they have made accusations in their cosy and closed corner of the world. This with the full knowledge that their members will come and state that there is credible evidence of serious wrongdoing, while all the time it is merely an unsubstantiated accusation.
It is becoming more than bad taste and rumourmongering. It is becoming a serious and sustained effort to undermine the credibility of people and organisations involved in nature conservation who are making a real difference.
I am now supporting the call for OSCAP to either substantiate or retract their statements.
I am also asking that, should they fail to do so, the members of the public start to realise what these people are up to and what to expect of them. Supporting their endeavours by spreading OSCAP's rumours is a serious action. Is this really what you want to be associated with?

I also read this but chose to interpret it as an attack on OSCAP - i.e. "a specific forum on the internet which specialises in spreading rumours" seems to be linked to the "spreading OSCAP's rumours"
If I am mistaken can anyone point out the first time this year that such "rumours" were spread.

Even more so as it was a "blue lie"
RP do you think the journalists will be prepared to provide such evidence to Sanparks? I also find it strange that no mention was made of the Skukuza staff villages - was that not where the biggest issues were?

Illegal tenants inhabiting certain staff accommodations, including Mozambiquan nationals.
Rhino horn and related poaching equipment.
Other forms of contraband.
Has this been verified Rich?
I am asking this for a very specific reason.
Please pm that to me.
Kruger has refused to comment on the matter, stating that as rhino poaching is involved, all queries will be handled by the Department of Environmental Affairs.
Police queried gave the same answer.
My question is this: Why should the presence of illegal aliens in a Parastatal housing complex have to be addressed by the DEA?

Jesse have you posted your feelings and concern on the thread in the Sanparks forum? Why not ask them if they can categorically deny that there were/are no illegals, rhino horn and poaching equipment found in any of their villages. Their denial only refers to Shingwedzi

Fact is that they are diverting the attention to that by trying to make OSCAP into a scapegoat.
Fact is also that OSCAP posted about the illegal tennants way later after it was posted already in various social media.
They are just busy with their usual duck and dive tactics.
They should go and keep their own house clean instead of soiling others.

There is not much more to say from my side: sources and media don't want to be public. As Penga said, why did SP not come here first?
Oscap have retracted their statement/post, and one can have alook/chat there too!
