We went on an evening drive to Marie se draai but we did not get far as this martial was sitting in the tree at the waterhole

he came down for a drink

then he went to a nearby tree

the only other sighting were these squirrels who could not care less about the jackal and vice versa

we returned, packed and went South. At Marie se draai we saw the usual suspects

water from the tap

at Kaspersdraai some gemsboks were having an argument Flavour of the Month - March 2015 - Kaspersdraai

and there were even some animals at Cheleka

close to Dikbaardskolk, an agama pretended to be a chameleon

but gave up when it found some food

we had seen some steenboks already, but this one was the first to allow a picture

a kalahari scrub robin at the piocnic site

then we went on the upper dune road

then we went North and saw the first giraffe

some ostriches

the springboks were pawing in the riverbed

while I was checking a tree at 14th borehole for an AWC, I nearly had an encounter with a cobra

a typical sighting on the Northern Auob road
