Fascinating info on MAC and really happy for you, Aat, that you got to see
your old friend again. Such are always magical moments.

Flutterby,
Could be, but can't ID based on this picture. Too far away to see details on tusks and ears.
Maybe if you send me a large format picture or a few more I can Id

Re: Tuskers of Kruger
harrys,
I haven't been too active here I know , but it's hard to keep up the big tusker thread at the other site and this here. Just did not have that much time left next to a full time job.
It is not MAC that's for sure.... I can;t id him immediately but a nice one with impressive tusks.
If you can send this picture and maybe a few more in larger format I will try to ID or even add him to the site
tuskers@zeelandnet.nl (please include name, location and date so I can archive the pics in a good way)

Tuskers of Kruger
@ ALL
It has been a while ago I added news or updates. Just lacking of time....
BUT:
I reorganized the Tusker site by reducing number of pictures per tusker. Series of same sighting reduced to 1 or 2 pics. I have to take care about available disk space on the server... and without sponsoring I have to take care about costs for renting server space...
UPDATES: Several updates for tuskers but also 5 new ones added to the site:
A tusker cow named MaTimba (central)
Tuskers: Dungile (north) , Mavumbye (central), Nwanetsi (central), Shikomu (central)
I also combined tuskers of other south african parks like addo , tembe to one section
Removed STE elephants and added the STE tuskers like MAC and NKOMBO to the section north
Created 3 sections for the tuskers : South, Central and North to make it a bit easier to ID / find your own tusker.

Did you find one of the big boys, please let me know...
