What a marvellous life... watching the fishermen doing their work and actually organizing your lunch.
Interesting episode! You were clearly impressed by what you saw... at least that's how I perceive it.

I have forgotten to show you the rubber trees
Cute little squirrels.....they are so fast
On the other side of the road the enclosure of an animal rehabilitation zone.
Indian women on a tour looking at a sweet deer, a chital
Scenery. It was one of the few partially clouded days

Interesting rubber tree
And a squirrel for you I'm sure you'll get a proper sighting of it in the time to come.

Re: Impressions of Kerala, India in photos and words
Sunday 3rd of Jan. 2016
Same beach as Saturday.
The little white dots are the floaters of the net. which they have probably positioned the night before or very early in the morning.
The fishermen start pulling from the two sides of the net singing a strange rhythmic tune.
They are stopping often, because it must be very heavy. Little by little the two parties are closing in on each other
Someone who took his boat out to anchor is hitching a hike back to the beach
Finally the net is on the beach and everybody including curious tourists are crowding.
The catch seems to be rather poor and they do not look very happy
It is all being put into a plastic bowl and divided in good, bad and worse The worse is thrown on the beach.
They then had a kind of auction
and the crows were having a feast
