Mel, I think the hippos were just play fighting, tho' they got rather aggressive, but I think it was more a dominance display than desiring any harm.
Yes, RP, I always take way too many pics
BC, we were delighted to get the eland, but the crested guinea fowl was one I had been wanting for ages. I never did get a really decent pic of them, but glad to tic them off the list. Agreed, the black heron was a high point for us.

Yes, it is grand, but 1. I have not kissed a spider today even if I found a big one last night, which I took by a leg and placed outside. 2. Kids would probably accept/love the idea of a spider pillow....... with sufficient publicity
