H \O It is scary what lengths these people/animals/things will stoop to and so much of it just makes no sense at all. It's almost becoming a blood lust or frenzy. But as much as I hate to say this, "we aint seen nothin' yet"

I'm reading a book called "Born Wild" by Tony Fitzjohn. He lived and worked with George Adamson in Kenya and writes about the poaching problems in the 1980s....
The poaching wars were getting ever more intense as the days went by and the wildlife community was already losing faith in the newly formed WCMD (Wildlife Conservation & Management Dept). Ian Hughes had resigned from the old Game Department and given up his anti-poaching patrols a few years back. He felt that the government didn't give him the support it should - in fact, quite the opposite - and that he was being asked to risk the lives of his men for window dressing. This opinion was becoming ever more widely held as it grew increasingly apparent that some of Kenya's elite were more involved in poaching: they were managing it.
Great men remained at the forefront of the anti-poaching effort but they received no support whatsoever.
Sounds very familiar! :O^

What do you think of me?
Eish! 0*\
Working at a million dollar IT company provides me with the means to keep on doing this no matter where I am.
I have made my last post from Abu Dhabi. =O:

It's difficult to compare, Flutts...but valid points! Kenya had fewer rhino, and not the crazy entrance/exit free for all we have in SANParks now, in a sense!
