To work, shouldn't they be rooted in the earth Like that, they just blow away

It's a simple measure, catches the sand a bit?
But mostly to stop people walking there and making the donga bigger!

Re: Richprins' Escapades to Marloth
Then on down to the river!
The oasis stream on the way back!
And then quite near the house, Dwarf spotted this very well!
It was a leopard track, actually a couple, in the soft sand, so one could even see the pad at the back...
We were not sure, and a little nervous, but thought it may be something else, but what could it be? Quite big, as one can see a shoe to one side.
In the event, Dwarf actually saw a leopard next to the tar road one late evening a few months later, so there we go!

A spiky caterpillar!
For some reason Dwarf took me to have a look at one of his haunts, River View, a restaurant at the caravan park on the river.
There was a Saturday flea market going on!
It is very pleasant, one sits and has a next to the river!

One unusual thing there was a sacred ibis, didn't even know they were found in Kruger!
Back at home some visitors!
The farmer at work...
And that night a monstrous kudu came in!

More night shots!
Next morning yet more manual labour!
And for a change it was not me getting wounded!
