Nice sightings, Pumbaa, specially the Carmine Bee-eater. Here at Grietjie we haven't had any this summer yet.

We again came across another group of ground hornbills

and at Nshawi No. 3 a lone elephant bull demonstrated his bathing skills

he from the elephant side and we from visitor side were the only one and simply enjoyed the presence of each other

whereas must say that we obviously enjoyed his presence more as we not have been observed by him
- _X5I4794.jpg (45.16 KiB) Viewed 184 times
as he was busy with the bathing, splashing and mud spreading
- _X5I4824.jpg (43.2 KiB) Viewed 184 times
and we had a lot of fun photographing and watching him and we only left after he decided it was time to carry on.

Then we came across a relative seldom sighting this year – a large herd of buffaloes – so far we only saw sporadically one or two in the South but luckily in the North we met them again
- _X5I4855.jpg (81.82 KiB) Viewed 184 times
they were extreme well hidden from the thick mopane bushes and on top spread all over the area but from time to time a curious one

was staring at us.

The nearer we came Tihongonyeni the more general game was around and not only sporadically but indeed large herds we stopped for wildebeests,

Whole herds of aminals, Pumbaa!
So different to see the area so green, just as my trips are so bone-dry!
