We returned beginning September!
Already signs of kudu!
It is a good time to plant trees!
A pedestrian accident, very common in SA...
And these minkeys had worked out that they could reach through the matting on the rubbish!

Ahhh....
Next morning A Walk before tree-time...
Early visitor:
The wild pear was really in full bloom by now, it doesn't last all that long!

We walked along the spruit below the house...a very pretty setting for aminals with the riverine vegetation:
It may be boring putting up a river pic every time, but one can see how the level drops as the year moves on!

Which year?
It must have been nice to be back
Lovely flowers. Especially the first ones in very early spring

Pretty wild pear flowers - is the fruit edible? Chocolate covered pears are yummy

2022, Lis!
The wild pear doesn't seem to produce sizeable fruit, Ex, but flowers are used to make love potions!

This weird insect was camouflaging itself on the wire fence!
One of the few bushes in bloom, not even sure if it is indigenous?
Pretty flowers!
I picked up a stone that glittered strongly in the sun...but one can't see it in the pic!

Some afternoon rugby...also not easy in the sun!
Then Operation Mobile Tree Planting!
One needs all kinds of equipment!
Water!
Dwarf had a friend called Van Wyk who had bought a plot nearby, so he was going to surprise him by planting a Vanwykshout! Genius!
Dwarf attacks the ground...me no do hard labour but am photographer by trade!

Unfortunately most of the water had fallen over and filled the car...
But still! The Final Phase!
And operation complete...the tree is still alive to this day!
Then the next day home...
END OF THIS SEGMENT

It will be nice if the tree grows enough to get flowers, they are so beautiful.
Your insect looks like a lacewing/dragonfly
A stone with crystalline

I understand the cage around the "tree", but why attached to those thin sticks? Maybe to make it taller
