Yes, but everything is lush and green and I do not want to know what we have missed already

Somehow both on our last full day That herd of elands was a brilliant sighting

BEAUTIFUL scenery, and more eland than I have ever seen in Kruger

To spot those rarer antelopes is always amazing and for sure we simply have to stop for our beloved birdies

Most of them walked slowly away farer into the deeper bush but from time to time one looked curiously through the bushes into our direction.



Also a lilac breasted roller flew by and as we already thought the eland would now disappear in the bush a couple of same returned





and so we could enjoy them a bit longer and needless





to say that we stayed with them until finally no one of them was longer to be seen. Also at this sighting we were the whole time the only car.





That sighting was indeed a more than worthy ending of our trip but gladly still a couple of kilos had to be covered inside the park



and the luck was still with us as the second entrance of the S56 was finally open and so we could at least drive at least a shorter part along one of our favourite roads and we soon came across zebras, waterbucks,



banded mongoose,



another fork tailed drongo

A red billed hornbill



and for sure lots of impalas



for whom we definitely stopped and enjoyed their presence.



A plum coloured starling female was then willing to pose



as well as another jacobin cuckoo



but then we already reached Babalala picnic spot where we stopped and stretched a bit our legs and this year we discovered some strange fruits / flowers hanging in a tree



and also a very well camouflages grey hornbill.



We headed forward now along the tar road as no other options in the far North but we noticed lot of zebras and more impalas.
