The animals get accustomed to people and do not keep a distance..not even the bushbabies

and the bananas have been put there especially for them
43° is very hot

I have experienced it once in KTP. We ended up going for a drive to have air condition
Most likely also dwarf was happy to go home

Dwarf loves the heat for some reason, Lis...

We returned around 1 May last year!
Some renovations going on...ceiling was collapsing...
And many plugs not working, so cables all over the place like a squatter camp!
But still, we settled in and were up bright and early next morning! This on the stoep:
And off immediately for The First Walk Of The Year!
Dwarf pregnant again!
And a rather silly stick for his walk...a Field-Marshall's baton!

A flutterby!
Incredibly green still!
A rare 2-in-1 pic in the bush!
With a baby!

Here is a closeup of the dragonfly, it looks like it only uses four legs, and insects are meant to have six!
But the front two legs are folded under the head, and extended to catch prey in flight, I think!

It was most certainly a photogenic dragonfly morning!
Notice the four legs again!
Dwarf still does his litter patrol!
We walked a long way, as it was our first Walk of the year!

Even dead it is a lovely butterfly
....The legs are rarely used for walking, but are used to catch and hold prey, for perching, and for climbing on plants. Each has two short basal joints, two long joints, and a three-jointed foot, armed with a pair of claws. The long leg joints bear rows of spines, and in males, one row of spines on each front leg is modified to form an "eyebrush", for cleaning the surface of the compound eye.
Lots of dragonflies around there

A bit strange, because normally they are seen close to water
Drwarf needs a bit of sun on those white legs
Your sweetheart is not around anymore
Cute little zebbie
