Luckily for us it was still quiet and so we could spend a lot of time on the causeway and now also the grey heron,
a green backed heron,
a goliath heron,
some comical water dikkops.

We were about to leave when we noticed a monitor walking down the causeway
to take a sunbath – Needless to say that we also took a couple of shots

and even close ups before we left
but could not leave before also another crocodile had to be captured who from time to time emerged from the water to check whether the causeway is clear.
As it was still a bit time left and Mooiplaas waterhole close we also paid there a visit and were shocked when we arrived – but shocked in a positive way because of the masses of elephants we saw close to that waterhole
Obviously it was an evening meeting in the best light also with zebras, wildebeests as well as tsessebes but in the distance.

bathing and drinking time
it were simply such peaceful the relaxing moments
besides one fury who was running around like made between all the other elephants, trumpeting loudly obviously an elephant who got separated from its group.

Cute youngsters were also present
and the evening light got better and better and also for the spectators in the cars it was a fantastic
spectacle to watch as no elephant took notice from us and in the distance we even discovered a larger group of tsessebes.
