We duly checked in at the PK guesthouse, ahead of time and with an extremely helpful staff at reception!
More pics of the spot later!
I immediately ran screaming to each of the 4 sub-houses to start the aircons...I have a bit of a mania about that, wouldn't you know, ...and struggled in two of them, but eventually clicked the system, literally! Kruger has a habit of providing you with little unexpected "quests" all over the place!
Anyway, the family dispersed promptly, as they infuriatingly do, with Momprins and Prinswilliam developing "sleepalitis", as they invariably do, and the rest being late and charging off to the pool and what not...
The obligatory afternoon drive happened!
Mp: "No, Go away!"
Pw: "zzzzzzzz"
So, a bit rebuffed, I drove down to the pool to find customers, and found the rest there, and had a rare plunge!
It was quite nice, I must say!
RP: "Right, Let's Go!"
PA: "But our car is at the house!"
RP: "No problem, my car is here!"
PA: "But we are wet!"
RP: "No problem! Just put towels down! Let's go!""
PA: "Ok, let's just faff around mindlessly and aimlessly for a few more minutes as the precious sunset drivetime approaches!"
RP: "Very well.... "
I think this daily frustration, which it was to become, caused me to blank out some details, but eventually we got underway with all 5 of us in the Silver Suppository, quite a new experience for them!
I think the camera download to the PC malfunctioned, as according to logic we went to Mestel Dam via Numbi gate, but the Dam pics are first and the S3 pics next?
Some buffalo, with a big boy in there...
And here heading north on the S3 from Numbi gate....you can see the sun setting in the West regarding the shadows!
Intensive oxpecker treatment, the birds were also probably surprised at lack of game!
The babies were up and about eventually, looks like they started here earlier then other sections?
You can see the boobies on the ewe!
