I shall never forget this morning drive, everything new as said, which is unusual for me so my brain has to take a back seat!


These cars were probably staff on business...deserted!



And round the corner is Shipandane Hide - a very nice spot indeed!

The causeway you come in on is on the right there, and I don't think the Tsendze River ever goes dry, to be honest!

And one goes just a couple of km further and one gets to Pioneer Hide on the dam!

One stops at the dam wall, and it is not really clear where one is allowed to walk or not, so great fun!

Lots of birds, and it was EXTREMELY cool and pleasant after the hammering the sun gave us the previous day!



I think one should maybe put up a crocodile sign, though?





Here is where leachy, Frewells and Dwarf were still snoring away on the other side of the dam...one of them is our palace!

Unfortunately, the roads were closed when I was there

It must look even nicer in summer

One can see the dam is about as low as it gets, I think it is the biggest remaining earth dam in Kruger? It is MUCH older than the camp!


I see there is a fish eagle at our house!

Leachy says our house was actually further to the left somewhere!

Never seen that area - interesting.
