Fun to see some familiar places here. However we didn't quite get to doing that causeway... not sure if we missed it or hadn't quite realised about it, so nice to see what it's like \O

:ty: :ty: :ty:

The next day was a rest day for us...no travelling for a change and a good idea too!

We had been very lucky and found a grand open campsite under a big tree the night before! We thought it a bit odd as the camp area was packed full indeed... -O-

Anyway, we had a companion at the site, and experimented a bit with giving it wine and rusks! It was EXTREMELY impressed and would not let us out of its sight! :-0 <dop>

We hung out at the impressive pool area of Okaukuejo, and renewed our acquaintance with rum and tonic! ..0..

There is also a waterhole at the camp, with lights etc:

We did a short evening drive I think?

The road:

The only bird pic of the trip...some korhaan? [O]

And some gemsbok at last! :-0

That night we found out why the campsite had been vacant...it was in the middle of the water runoff channel for the camp area. It rained all night and we were eventually floating, so to speak. A great tribute to the tent designers that water did not come in much. A sort of "Titanic" experience! 0: 0*\

The next morning we were due to leave, and it was still raining.

We dragged the tent with the equipment inside to the filling station, under which roof we sort of packed. Chaos!! O/ lol

With a wet tent dominating a steaming canopy we headed south out of Etosha and soon encountered our next ADVENTURE... 0()
