RP, Sis, Roger, Gavin, Pumbaa - I agree, ostriches are always fun to watch, especially when they have chicks. Didn’t see many BEFs at all, so they, too, were a treat for me. Thank you for taking the time to comment - always means a lot to me.

After my stay at Uri I returned to KK for three days. Here are the lacewings I managed to find, tho’ there were far fewer this trip.




















Sunrise signaled the start of another opportunity to get out and see what the day had in store.

Steenboks are so adorable looking.





Another Tawny Eagle, but they never get boring to me.

One of the afternoon drives was very special, as there were lionesses with their cubs right in the road. One mom had an older cub, and the other two quite young ones. They stayed in the road until gate closing time, so no cars going north or south were able to pass (or willing, as they would have incurred some evil eyes from the rest of us).





Seems it’s not only humans that fall back on the “ because I’m the Mom!” line.





The older cub wanted to play with the wee ones




















Playing is so exhausting!





Time for a drink and an afternoon nap…





The last day it rained off and on (mostly on) for almost 24 hours. The sightings changed immediately due to all the water....
