Stating that I am 100% against this challenge, I just want to point to the fact that here we are talking about a race for mountain bikes and on the normal road it would not be a challenge.....no difficulties. Said that I am sure that they could have found a circling trail around TR that would be much less harming. I still think it is a horrible idea

Annie, I have travelled on those roads, but on a mountain bike I would not judge them a challenge.......in a race

My suggestion somewhere was for the trail to be on "existing" but non-tourist roads...sort of like the firebreak tracks in KNP...are there such patrol/maintenance roads in KTP?
