We found a LBR nest near Geinab and enjoyed watching the parents bringing food for the nestlings

29 October 2014 - Mata Mata to Urikaruus

We were out at gate opening time and for our troubles we got a nice bat eared fox sighting near Craig Lockhardt

We returned to Mata Mata to pack up and checked out at 10.00am. The plan was to go to Kamqua Picnic site for lunch and get to Urikaruus at 2.00Pm for check in. We did not make it to Kamqua because we found Hanri and her two cubs just before 13 Borehole

Hanri had killed a Springbok, we got there just after the killing

The cubs were about 500 meters away under a tree and Hanri went to go fetch them. We sat waiting for over an hour as they made their way slowly to the kill stopping under several trees on the way.

Eventually Hanri and the cubs crossed the road in front of us and she dragged the kill across the road to the neares tree
