April 26.

Something different... African Leopard Butterflies.

There was a big commotion when a Swamp Mongoose tried to grab one of the nearby Cape Teals. I just managed to get this picture before it disappeared into the reeds.

A Redeyed Dove in beautiful light.

Then, something I've never seen before - I thought that only Pied Kingfishers could hover but this Giant Kingfisher proved me wrong!

Next up, a Purple Heron, posing beautifully. The first of these that I've seen at AR.

Then it flew, and for a change I was ready for it!

Reed Cormorant.

And the Giant Kingfisher again with a large meal. Two different crops of the same picture; not sure which one I like best.
