At this point it gets a bit hard to know in which way everything happened, because all the photos got different names (numbering stopped) and well.. I don't recall it exactly.

So I think I can continue here:
It became night and we decided it was time to rest. So we did and we rested the next morning. We didn't sleep the whole morning, but sat at the river and walked it up and down hours and hours. We didn't had a good stretch so it was lovely and I really, really, really enjoyed it.

We saw those ibis somewhere far away on the bank and some usual animals, which still look great.

The drive started anyhow somewhere in the day and if I recall correctly we drove upwards toward Mopani. Anyhow, the two days to follow will not have any stories, because I can't remember anything of it. Just photos for now and a little description when necessary.

We saw this lovely, thinking monkey somewhere on the road:

Our first bateleur which we managed to photograph! :D

Lovely heron and crocks:

Bee eater, not sure which one, hard to define:

Then this happened: a standoff of waterbucks and a predator. We didn't see the predator, but just heard them panick and all stare at the same point. There was a road running towards here, but we already had a flat tire once and didn't have any spare tires.

And photobucket just crashed, sadly... So will try again to upload more soon. Do not expect too much, since the last days were more about relaxing and enjoying the letaba river then seeing a lot. We did see lots and loads of ellies, waterbucks and birds nonetheless, but will update asap!

Hi Mattie,

We have seen lion on that loop running along the river before. It's a nice little loop. You must drive it next time \O

Hi Mattie
It was such a treat reading your TR and experiencing your trip through your eyes...
What great sightings of the cheetah and lions at the buff kill
You had an amazing nightdrive at Satara with the serval and african wild cats
THe bird that you couldn't ID is a Ret'z Helmet SHrike, I saw my first one in Dece 2014, you are very lucky with that sighting... they aren't seen often.
AMAZING snake sighting, it would have been the seighting of the trip for me as I just LOOOOVE seeing snakes in the wild
