You're right the BC clan get lots of cats. We had however passed these lions on the way in to Skukuza so had insider info as to what lay ahead :-0

Ja...or maybe the 40 cars gave the sighting away? They were there for our entire trip!

Our arrival at Skukuza at BC's place which was base of operations. Gump and I were ensconced on the opposite end of the camp, but no problem!

It was so sweet, as the wife and kids were ready and lined up with my face...very endearing! 0/0

My real face was a bit hideous after skin burning for cosmetic purposes, so I wasn't sure whether to kiss the wife or hug...and ended up kissing her in the neck, rather intimately... lol

BC probably raised an eyebrow, but no harm done!

They weren't there the next morning RP O** O**

It's a pity your bladder induced pressure caused you to leave 5 minutes too early as the cubs came down --00-- You will have to wait for my TT for those pics as I need to leave something for that ..0..

Our introductions were interesting regarding the morning sightings, so after photographic proof and a long discussion between Gump and RP about surviving in a car with each other at different levels of hydrogen sulphide, we hit the road.

I have driven in the park behind Gump before and he seems to have a “conservation of petrol” approach, so I expected to lose them as we exited Skukuza, but surprising Gump was hanging on my bumper at 40km/h.

The afternoon drive was fairly interesting for those with stronger bladders. I went on to Transport Dam while Gump and RP cooled off with the lions. On my return from Transport they had just pulled off to head for camp as RP’s liquid intake was more than his outlet and things were bottle necking down below.

I will post my “wildlife” pics on my TT when it happens in the distant future O**

Gump surprised me with a machine gun camera, so it’s best if he takes the photographic lead role here anyway.

Back in camp I was under pressure from RP to start the fire as his chickens take hours to cook.

Once all was organized we settled in for the evening
