Nice giraffe silhouettes
I wonder how a pair of glasses can end up under the mattress
Also the Verraux's eagle owl is a nice sighting

Thanks Lis!
I was shooting one of the Giraffes in the sunset and the other one walked past - it was just a matter of getting the timing right!
The glasses - Stargazer is a scientist and can be absent-minded at times

Thanks RP!
At this point of the trip I was starting to wonder what else could go wrong
It's a Scaly-feathered Weaver but it used to be a Scaly-feathered Finch.

Mel wrote:Me thinks the kingfisher is a striped on. Never say never, but brownhooded usually don't occur in KTP and this one looks very striped anyways
I want locations for those AWC

Thanks Mel, it is a Striped Kingfisher, I just assumed it was a Brownhooded as I don't see Striped very often!
The AWCs were somewhere to the southeast of Mata Mata!

Hi BT, just caught up with your report now
Wow you sure had a lot of AWC sightings.
We are off to Rooiputs and Polentswa in 17 days time and can't wait. Hope we get lucky with the cheetah
Thanks for sharing
