Good to see some tuskers around too

Thanks Harry! I'm happy that you like the insect pictures (some don't!).

Aah, speak of the devil!
The giraffe was drinking from a stream that was feeding the pond.
I must admit that Cicadas aren't my favourite insect! The can create quite a disturbance when they are attracted to nearby lights and the NOISE they make is overwhelming!

Not rude, just giving you some of your own medicine!
I don't care much for the "policeman" title ExF, I only pick up Apie's (formerly known as RP - say it out loud) mistakes because he claims to be an English teacher.

Thursday 3 December 2015 - Letaba.
I spent the morning in the camp and found some interesting subject matter.
One of the resident Bushbucks.
A Dung Beetle.
Brownheaded Parrot.
There was a variety of wasps around the swimming pool.

The solo afternoon drive took me to the north - as ever, the Mopani scrub made it extremely difficult to spot any game and this drive revealed very little.
At Malopenyana waterhole an unfortunate Hippo was blowing bubbles in one of the troughs.
Further up the the road, a Blackbacked Jackal.
And back at Malopenyana the Hippo wasn't blowing bubbles any more and was looking in a very sorry state.
Later that evening, we heard a Scops Owlet calling from very close by. It was in the bush behind the trailer!
Much later, as I was about to turn in for the night, I noticed a freshly emerged Cicada on one of the BluTuna's tyres.

Truly amazing pictures again of all these insects.
Hippo inside the trough
Poor thing, obviously no water in the area other than the trough.
