Stampede! Something in the water scared the elephants at Sable hide. They all darted out of the water as if they were stung by a bee.

Lions trying to mimic a leopard. Spent the night in Sable hide. During the night lions were contact calling from behind the dam wall to other lions on the other side. Only at first dawn, they appeared for a drink and a snooze.

August 2018.
I spotted this female and her two cubs at Sable dam near Phalaborwa.
They spent about a half an hour at the dam before they disappeared in the bushes.
