Sorry to contradict you It was a survey ordered by Sanparks as far as I remember.

that is why it was not a sanparks project..
it was carried out by australian academics who probably use it as part of their academic credits
not sure if it was ordered by sanparks or if the aussies approached sanparks for "permission" to carry out the research
