You have a very good appreciation of lighting for pics, stf! X#X X#X X#X

Well done on the leopard!

Ja, adult hippo don't really care about crocs if they don't have calves, otherwise their days would be constantly unpleasant! lol

You must put the pic of the tucker up on aat's thread, my boy? ;-)

05 June 2018 - Part 1/2.

Not sure which goshawk this is.

Image

Seen from Matambeni hide but did not stay long as the wind was blowing a gale and ice cold.

Spurwing Goose all in a row.

Image

Lazy crocs soaking up the morning sun.

Image

We were going to have brunch here but it was too darn cold and windy so went to Letaba restaurant.

Image

A cool drink on a cold day at Shipukuyila Pan.

Image

Emerald-spotted Wood-Dove.

Image

There was not much water in the pan so we were not sure if this hippo was alive or not but then it blinked an eye and twitched an ear so all was ok.

Image

Seen on the S47.

To be continued.

05 June 2018 - Part 2/2.

We are now on the S47 next to the Letaba River. A road with a lot of promise but again we did not see much.

Image

So after a very long and boring ride we joined the H1-6 and rode up the H15 where we turned around and headed back to Letaba. We stopped in the Letaba bridge to photograph this handsome fellow.

Image

A kind gentleman stopped next to us and told us to have a look on the other side of the bridge. So we moved over and saw this fellow scurrying around.

Image

Image

A lovely river viewing point off the Letaba river road.

Image

These Maribu stork were making one hell of a racket as they all fought for the best sleeping position.

Image

This guy came swooping in over our car.

Image

Finally for today.
