That's a pretty female Carpenter bee, Xylocopa flavorufa. She wears a beautiful fuzzy red coat, made of branched hairs. These bees mate in the air and as you can immagine it's not easy form him to hold on her in flight. The solution is a tricky velcro device on the male's legs. His legs are covered in finest hair loops that are caught by the branched hook-like bristles of the female's abdomen hair. Another question is however how they pull apart then when they are done. I thinks there is a ripping sound and the male will sometimes get away with sore legs

Prinsadam suffers from nothing! The other two brothers have lots of issues, but we are used to him getting the luck...
