Here is one of the culprits - impala!
And a whacky-looking dragonfly or something, look at the eyes!
On the way to the river there are many flowering trees, not sure if this one is indigenous?
And some biggish bird spoor, a heron or something...maybe hadeda?

Lovely full river, and all so green still!
No idea what these are...maybe palm seeds thrown away?
We always walk down the fence along this path to the pumphouse, this time a bush chicken barred the way!

More than the eyes of the dragonfly (that could be used for a film horror), the long tail is impressive.
Lovely views of the River
Why must the pumphouse and other man-made facilities be so anti-esthetic, especially in the middle of nature?

The pumphouse is on a neighbouring property?
Here is the weir across part of the river that dams the flow for it!
This giant carpenter bee drew me to tears trying to get it to sit still!
Another pretty flowering tree/bush, don't think it is indigenous...

Here is Dwarf photobombing a pic of new thatch ready for a roof!
The Paradise Stream was flowing nicely at the Southern Crossing...one crosses this stream all over the place!
An interesting impala pic, light vs shade!

The papyrus makes for a nice pic of the little stream
How big is the carpenter bee?
Beautiful pink flowers even if not ingenious
Impalas

The bee was about 2.5 cm, Lis!
Dwarf reliving his army days!
Back at base it was remarkable how quickly the sicklebush pods had dried from a few weeks back!
Here is the tree:
And a weird little orange ant!
