Between you and Bushcraft the spots are all over, even when I close my eyes. I'll probably see leopards in a dream one of these days
To see an animal suffer is terrible, especially when you can do nothing
It really is terrible!

Once again right place and right time, Flutterby
Good to hear that it looked as if he will recover
Yes, timing is everything in Kruger.

Oh my word ...too many stunning sightings . It really does seem that you are the leopard magnet :)
Thx for sharing Flutts ...and I do love that bottle of wine. :)
Thanks Michele, we were lucky with leopards this year. I also liked the bottle, and the wine wasn't bad either!

Another great leopard sighting Flutts
I have also been watching for updates on "Frikkie". Since the injury he has been seen fairly often hanging around close to the road He still looks fine, so hopefully it isn't too bad.
After leaving Frikkie, when we approached the 'leopard bridge' there were lots of cars but we couldn't see the leopard in or around his tree. We then saw that everyone was looking on the other side of the bridge, and we eventually spotted him in the distance but he soon disappeared so we carried on.
A few kms further on we saw some ellies running. They were trying to catch up with the herd closer to the road. It's not often you see big ellie herds around Satara! We then found ourselves right in their path to cross the road but the car in front of us wasn't moving (the Toyota) so we had to drive offroad to get past them. They were very brave (or stupid) to stay where they were.
Here's a video of the first leopard when it crossed the road. Our vehicle is not the noisy one. You can see the other vehicle leaving when the leopard is right next to them!
