“They tried to chase him from island again, stubborn man refused. There are crocodiles in very murky water, Bertie is not desperate enough to cross the river. They hope the water level will drop soon, seems like it's happening.

"Bertie is not starved and still looking good and strong. The island is bigger, he has more place to stroll. He seems calmer, more resigned to his fate. He's waiting patiently for his moment to leave...on his terms."

There is an end to the story
The giraffe that we have all be following so closely for the past week has not made it.
There is no movement and also no predators around.
