we went on a morning drive to Craig Lockhardt and found springboks in golden light
a well-fed martial

more shy BEFs
giraffes
thirsty jackals
which inspected the waterhole.

At the turn-off to KTC our neighbours parked at the side of the road. On their first visit to KTP they only got accomodation at Mata Mata and were so disappointed that they had not seen any cats yet. But on top of the ridge was a sleeping lion and they were determined to stay with „their“ cat.
We had to leave them as we were supposed to change camps. A toko came to say bye bye
when we returned, the lion was still around – as were our neighbours

Next I saw something moving in the riverbed and I got really excited when I noticed what it was
He even decided to move towwards us – more excitement
we moved to the place where we thought he would reach the road and he kept on moving

Next we saw some very relaxed giraffes
a pygmy falcon
crimson-breasted shrike

a lion at Gemsbokplein
who was very tired as well
and only looked up briefly when another car stopped

we went on a short afternoon drive towards the Auob road
and saw whistling rat
the sunset at Auchterlonie
at the junction with the lower dune road there was a tawny nest with an almost fullgrown chick
