I agree on the gem camp bit
Not too many units and a waterhole that can be seen from the camp.
Lawn was okay. Sprinklers were laying around (and used
). Didn't notice the toilets though. Had my own

After the slow start the previous day, we were well rested and had agreed to try to make gate opening.
We almost managed, at least when you allow a 15 minute leeway
Going down the H7 it didn't take long for one of my favourite sightings of the trip... And first row as well,
at least for some minutes before the usual reckless crowd pushed in
So, this lasted all of three minutes...
...before I had to make do with the "scraps" because I couldn't see the pack properly anymore -
only individuals out of the side window, slightly obscured by the long grass...
...or blurred by the windscreen

The plan for the drive had been going down the S100, down the S41 with a stop over at N'Wanetsi and moving back via the H6.
En route a naughty looking boon youngster:
There was actually quite some interesting interaction right in front of us with a teenager manhandling another youngster for which it got its share of smacking by
an adult. Unfortunately the windscreen got in the way again, so I sat and watched rather than trying to take photos.
On the S100 we found some VERY agitated impala that actually started to run of at some point, but we never managed to make out the cause of the commotion.
I'm sure there was someone in the vicinity, but it decided to stay hidden.

Next up another lifer - a white-winged widowbird:
Why is it actually called white-winged when yellow is much more prominent on its wings?
Some hitchhikers too:

Not only slow, Lis, I had my share of encounters with the General Error when trying to post these, Lis.
Luckily I learned my lesson and always copy before sending off
