Just to get everyone up to date.
Since this incident on Sunday, I have been in constant communication with William Mabasa. I did not want to mention this in public before. I will not divulge yet exactly what has been discussed. It got to a rather serious point and now in true fashion, this is a quote from his last email to me...
"I am not going to engage you further than I have done regarding this matter, if you feel you wish to discuss this matter further, please make an appointment with my office and come and see me."
I honestly feel that this deserves mention on the SPF!

And the SPF won't allow that to be posted on their side!

Don't worry, Sprocks! What's right is right and what's wrong is wrong!

Looks like quite a firm grip has been taken on the press too.

Just to say the Article in the Phalaborwa Herald seems correct apart from the fact that everybody who works in Kruger is referred to as a Ranger. The Phalaborwa Ranger isa senior Post with the level of Regional Ranger and Louis Olivier a Veteran Ranger has been in that post for years. Ben Van Eeden also hasa senior job and that is he is Manager of everything that is not Conservation for the whole Northern part of Kruger (Phalaborwa to Pafuri) ie tourism, Human Resources, Finance, Admin etc and he would have had the authority to order payment of fees etc in the absence of Louis...Its just sucha pity it didnt happen ona week day where there would have beena very good chance of Louis Olivier being there and the Taxi Driver wouldnt want to face him that is for sure...no prisoners there for sure

Unfortunately the smaller of the two local Phalaborwa newspapers, The Voice, has published the incorrect version.
I do however know the editor and I will contact her and ask her to rectify the mistake in next weeks edition.

The medias are showing a growing supeficial and the negligent behaviour all over the world, be it important news or local news, TV, the Internet or newspapers
Why do they not double check their sources anymore?
