Spot the aminal!
A cute little grasshopper posing nicely!
And the

helmetshrikes still not posing close enough!
Back home a new visitor to the bird feeder!

Odd jobs in the afternoon...I had given up on the devil's thorns but Dwarf repainted the house street sign!
Next morning last walk of the year...
But a totally new birdie that was not shy at all...
Not sure of the English name, but "wipstert" in Afrikaans.

Another "spot the aminal"...
The knobthorn trees still in bloom!
And a quick monkey shot...they are terribly naughty!
Then home...
END OF 2023 SEASON

Spot the aminal!
A hippo right in the middle? The other one is a spider
What is the name of the house
Great pic of the grasshopper

It looks like Disney's grasshopper apart from the hat, and the violin missing
Is the "new Birdie" a bearded scrub-robin? A scrub-robin ( whipstert) for sure!

See you in the Silly Season of 2024

The house doesn't have a name, Lis, it is in Soetdoring Street!
Just saw the croc now as well,Pumbaa, nice eyes!
Silly season is the busy winter period of visits after a quiet summer, Ex!

We returned for the 2024 Season in May....traffic and roadworks were a nightmare, taking 3 hours from Nelspruit to Marloth!
A first time for me, Granddwarf was along for the trip!
Notice ceiling fixed!
Dwarf prepares supper for us as well as the aminals!
And soon a visitor, sorry a bit dark...

And another visitor!
Rugby on the go too, never a dull moment!
Dwarf makes Spaghetti Carbonara, absolutely scrumptious!

Next morning up bright and early for A Walk, and for a change these blasted shrikes were nearly close enough to photograph!
Ahhhh.....back in Paradise!
And so green! (Little did we know that would change drastically as it was to be a drought year...

)
