The dam wall, isolation, and open space make this a uniquely special place!

We felt we should celebrate, so put away our tea and shared a can of beer I had brought along for just this sort of occasion!

(I think we deserved it... )


5 minutes later...

We could not get off the dam wall.

It was a standoff, literally at high noon!

Nobody budged.

After having bashed the invaders into the dam with the trusty Samoosa, we left the scene.

These christmas tree birds were a far cry from the snow-covered alpine forests!

Normally one can wait for the other car to leave the dam and drive on same then - I guess that would makes more sense
