At the hide entrance there were all sorts of fresh spoor!
RP: "So Borderline, when are you seeing a doctor about those horrific feet?"
BL: "Stop bodyshaming, you bitch!"
The entrance!
Very nice!

Re: Damwits - Mopane Full House 2019
The water was limpid!
BL: "What are limpuid?"
And a lifer for me, maybe! A Pygmy Kingfisher!
Not much else was going on, so we continued in high spirits up the Shongololo loop on our Adventure!
A bit further up is the turnoff to Boulders camp, next to the Mopane airstrip!
A strange Sanparks bakkie looking like an ambulance came out there, the first humans we had seen that entire morning! (In fact we only saw one other car for the next 2 hours) so we speculated whether Kruger sends a vehicle out on these remote northern roads every few days to pick up the remains of lost tourists?
RP: "So Borderline, when are you seeing a doctor about your ugly bony hands?
"
BL: "$%$$& etc."

Re: Damwits - Mopane Full House 2019
One goes up along the virgin Tzenze River north of the Dam, and it does run out of water eventually, but lots of loops and pools!
We got lost a lot but didn't care! So pleasant was it!
On one of the loops a steenbok lady was found with all-round viewing access!
(PJL-style composition...
)
And she into the light, ag shame!

Your pygmy kingfisher is a nice scoop
What a pity that the roads were flooded when I was there, those two hides have beautiful views ...and kingfishers and most likely many other birds that you did not bother to take pics of
PJL's photos are never over-exposed

Maybe not quite, but you have a valid point there
