Getting them all together, nothing wrong with your sightings! They seem all great to me
I know that you were staying for quite some time though

Lovely light on the giraffes. My favourite is the crimson-breasted shrike in the tree.
Now I am ready for some beetles and lacewings

Beautiful shot of the giraffes that last morning
Looking at how thin that first badger was, it might have been the same that we saw which was north of the northern entrance of Dalkeith loop.
The rest... ugh, just makes me "home"sick

Alf, Flutts, Sis (yes, when I look back at all the pics I realize , cumulatively, we saw quite a lot - we stayed a month), RP, Klipspringer (be careful what you ask for
), and Mel - sincere thanks, as always.

Another quiet drive, but always enjoyable anticipating what MAY show up next - (try not to fall asleep here, folks
). If you manage to stay awake you will be richly rewarded with everyone's favorite - CREEPY CRAWLIES !!!
An eland family was at KijKij (as was the caracal, but no real action there)

Burchell's Sandgrouse

Namaqua Sandgrouse

African Hoopoe

"…sometimes me just sits."

KK is good for macro night photography because you are enclosed by the long walkway. A whole different world of predators and prey become active.

Re: KALAHARI CAPTURES - Sept./Oct. 2019

I LOVE this bug!!! I've only seen two, the first one in 2015, so I was ecstatic to see another this year.

If you look closely, you'll see an ant feeding under the bug - unfortunately it will be the ant's last supper…

Some kind of fly I haven't ID'd yet

Dumpy Longhorn Beetle (Tetradia lophoptera)

Bark Mantiid (Tarachodes sp.?)

Striped Hawk Moth (Hyles livornica)

Unknown spider

Spoonwing (Semirhynchia brincki)

Assassin Bug with roach prey

Sleep well tonight...

What fascinating and informative stuff, Ex!
Interesting the spastic gecko there!
Do you mean there is an enclosed walkway to the hide?
Never knew there were two types of sandgrice...
