An afternoon trip from the fort Camp!
For us Lowveld-lovers this was a totally alien landscape...just rocks everywhere...with weird waterholes without pumps!
There is a loop, sort of, around a tiny southeastern corner of the Pan..which we took! ( "Tiny" is a relative term regarding all things Etosha!

)
Lo and behold, quite soon a lion appeared!
They are sort of like our lions...lying down and doing nothing!
This would have been near Klein Otavi...and our first view of the pan, which only holds water for a little while each year.
