flutters, richie, lis, klippies, alf and harrys.....

one morning after heavy overnight rains
there was a spot on the H1-7 near boyela
where hundreds of these tiny frogs
were all crossing the road and heading in an easterly
direction......
needless to say many never made it

leachy, you do also see froggies O\/ O\/

Tremolo Sand Frogs start breeding after rains and often there are many of them. Maybe heading to a pan or puddle?

They are tiny, 3-5 cm, mottled brown, grey, reddish and have pale stripes down the back. Between the shoulders is a lighter patch.

Do you agree?

thanks klippies, richie, alf, flutters, peter and lisbeth....

this tusker was seen regularly
around letaba..
from the side he seems rather average..
.
however from behind one can see how
wide his tusks protrude beyond his torso

reminds me of the rear-view mirrors on luxury coaches....
