Baviaans Wilderness Game Reserve
Jane and I and our Border Collie went Camping for 5 days in this 127 kms away from my front door in PE Wild Wilderness area where Baboons live in the Krantzes and get taken out by very shy Leopards nightly. We camped on our own in an area called Bruintjies Kraal on the eastern section of this wonderful wilderness in our new camper but we coped in this totally offgrid location and were the only humans and one Domestic dog for tens of Kms around us . Lots of people stay in 5 Star Skukuza Hotels but here we slept under 5 Billion Stars it seems with no Light pollution from PE at all. I took this Pic of the MilkyWay straight above us with a Nikon Z7 Camera , a 20mm f 1.8 Lens @1.8 and shot at 20 secs at an ISO of ISO 4500. All I have done with this shot is reduce it for posting and sign my name >> WE ARE GOING BACK Please give the Pic a good Click and I hope it doesnt get fuzzy when viewed as it is killer on my screen straight out of camera

The Wilderness area is managed by Cape Nature and is beautiful in its lack of general public accessibility and infrastructure and ids wild in nature

I had to be cautious with my Sheep dog in the night as its a famous leopard area and we even heard one late at night catching a Baboon out of a sleeping troop right across the 20 m wide River from us >> the Shreaks and Squells will haunt me forever and those anguished sounds echoed through the Canyons

Yes there is a beautiful walk along the river going left for about 3 kms and then to the right as long as you want /can really >> few river crossings going right but Birdwatching supreme and Landscape photography >>tops >> otherwise just rejuvenating in camp
