OK, we'll have to wait for the little dark brown surprise O**

A pity that all the sand roads were closed. the S25 is such a bore IMO

It was such a pity but what to do ;-) The S25 has parts where same is a bit more interesting but the beginning from the Malelane side can be extreme boring but prefer to drive that road instead of via all the tar roads O**

one of the youngest hyena pups

Image

and for sure one of the most relaxed youngsters at that age we ever saw

Image

especially at such a frequently driven tar roads but under the aspect that mom was extreme stress-relieved that must have passed over to the small brown cutie as well.

Image

In the beginning the youngster curiously explored the surroundings still within the safety distance to mom but same was running a bit around and sniffed here and there

Image

but then the youngster was thirsty

Image

Image

and had to cuddle seriously with mom who now was alert and checked out all the cars which passed by

Image

but soon started to relax again and the youngster had enough from the milk bar

Image

and now started to annoy mom a bit

but as mom was tired or at least pretended to be tired

Image

same had to occupy with itself.

Image

That little brown youngster was simply too cute and stole our hearts immediately.

Image

Then unfortunately a very noisy commercial vehicle overtook and the youngster ran straight into the close by den and it took a while until same dared to come out again

Image

and ran right back to mom

Image

and now bit her into her ears – Obviously one of the reasons why the ears of hyenas do look often nibbled as the small and sharp teeth can be extreme ruthless.

Image

It was such a wonderful sighting that we again took picture after picture

Image

and after the youngster annoyed mom enough same got thirsty again

Image

and as we got so many shots and stayed already quite a while at that sighting we finally continued.

Image

to be continued……………
