You're too fast for me. Can't keep up with your pace lol

Of course all of your photos are amazing but I enjoyed the hyena sighting and the saddle-billed most.
I love the colours on the stork. Very pretty. [Luv]
Yes sorry Mel... proceeding at speed as usual lol lol
It was great to see the SBS up close O\/
Lisbeth wrote: Thu Jul 22, 2021 12:27 pm The coucal still looks very <brr>

Cute little hyena and a nice sequence with mommy :-)

I love the pics of the giraffes, spread out all over the place \O

Pretty bushbuck

The close up of the stork shows how bright the colours are ^Q^ ^Q^

Nkuhlu looks very different from when I saw it last time.......luckily ;-) They even have the buffalo pie on the menu again lol
Thanks Lis... yeah Nkuhlu was great. And that giraffe congregation was quite something to see O:V
Richprins wrote: Thu Jul 22, 2021 6:13 pm Lovely stuff, Peej! \O

Interestingly, I saw on Wild earth that nyala are pushing out bushbuck in the south/central districts...they don't really belong there! @#$

My favourite is the giraffe group shot. [O]

And Nkuhlu looks marvelous under new management! :-0
So the nyala don't belong or the bushbuck don't belong? We did see quite a few nyala around that's for sure \O

Yeah Nkuhlu will be high on our stop off places in the future if it continues as it is now. Even the skottels for hire are cheaper than elsewhere!

Tuesday July 6th contd...

After lunch we wandered down to the deck in Skukuza. The place was pretty much deserted which was surreal when normally the car park is jam packed and there are people all over the place. As a whole we found Skukuza to be a really nice stay - the ablutions were always clean and the place seemed to be well run and looked after. \O

For an afternoon drive we aimed to head down the H3 for a while and depending on time cut over to Biyamiti weir and back up the S114. We pulled in to De Laporte to find a giraffe coming in to drink O/\

Once on the H3 there was a nice male steenbok

Image

Image

Not long after the S13 turn off there was a small lineup of cars for what was our first leopard of the trip complete with an impala kill stashed high in a tree O\/ O\/

Image

She wasn’t keen on looking our direction to begin with, but whilst waiting for her to turn around another head popped into view - there was a cub with her O/\ O/\
The cub went bounding up the tree to the kill

Image

Image

Once up by the kill, the cub really wasn’t visible 0*\

Image

Instead we tried out a few places along the road to try and get a view of the mom… thankfully she started looking around a bit more O:V

Before deciding to go back to sleep <zz>

Image

It was getting late so we abandoned our Biyamiti weir plan and went back via the S13, S23 & S114. All was quiet along the gravel roads but we did have a nice sighting of a duiker along the way to end the day \O

I love to see giraffes drinking ;-)

Handsome bokkie \O

I suppose that the leopard cub made it up to the impala, even if it looks a bit O-/ Nice sigting ^Q^ ^Q^

The curl on top of the head of the duiker makes it look so cute [Luv]

Love the steenbok. Such cute little critters.

But of course... that leopard sighting beats them all. Two for the price of one - very O:V O:V O:V
