Somebody must tell that lioness that she's not a leopard.
Cool sighting

Yes, a lion's roar is indescribable to those who've never heard one
, and something you never forget.
Also, the hyena reflections are lovely, as are the scenery shots.

Thanks everyone for all your awesome feedback
We got to Kaspersdraai after a short drive and compared pictures with Kyran and Caitlin, Kyran was adamant that he wanted to carry on, but FOMA had set in with us so we decided to go our separate ways, and to meet back at camp later
We drove slowly back and then suddenly Debbie spotted some movement to our left.
A lioness
It wasn’t long before we spotted a few other faces.

We were blessed with some 3 lionesses and 5 sub adult cubs playing on the road in front of us

And so the games continued
It was such bitter sweet sighting. We were so excited to see the pride, but at the same time felt so sorry for the children having missed them

Then to top it all, daddy lion decided to follow the others.
They all eventually crossed the road and settled down under a tree in the riverbed some 200m away (far too far for our cameras, so we decided to return to Nossob)
