Once back at Nossob and met up with a friend from Cape Town, Jenny, and had a wonderful catch up.

The rest of the day was spent preparing a potjie, and spending time at the pool trying to find the puncture in our blow up bed. Kyran and Caitlin were keen to borrow it.

We didn’t win
Our evening drive back to Kapers was uneventful, and our meal that night was delicious.

Friday 7th May

Our final morning drive from Nossob saw us driving around Marie se Draai, before returning to camp to pack up.
The sunrise made up for the lack of game on the drive.

We had a really quiet drive down to Kieliekrankie and we were beginning to wonder if the next “barren” spell was starting. We had had the lion sighting yesterday, but nothing since. :-? :-?

We stopped for a break at Melkvlei and had resigned ourselves to getting to our accommodation a lot earlier than expected.

We were SO wrong....

Debbie was driving the final stint, and we were busy chatting when she suddenly slammed on breaks.
“just get your camera” she said as she slowly reversed the bakkie and trailer
WHY?
Oh my hat. Then I saw her. O/\ O/\

Gorid in a tree right next to the road.
