Eventually Gorid got tired of posing for us in the tree and climbed down

She walked over to a nearby bunch of trees and we lost sight of her for the day.

These spotted eagle owls obviously didn’t
They were out of the trees in no time

We waited a while until time forced us to move on to Kieliekrankie

We got to KK just in time and after booking in we soon caught up with Martin, Claudia and Oscar

A pride of lions were parked off on the far dunes. Not going anywhere.
Spot the lions

We had a wonderful evening with our friends before retiring to our chalet and BED

why aircon ..0..
do you know living without :-? ... and driving with the windows open to hear the song of the bush

and for all, if we need aircon, we can go into a hotel or stay in one of the 3 big camps, TR all the night, Nossob and Mata Mata a part of the night and it's ok like that
I can't see Grootkolk with aircon, no more the impression to be in the bush -O-
it's of course ONLY my opinion
sorry Gavin to disturbe your TT which is great and I follow it with a lot of interest, I love the writing and pix. Thank both of you for all that 0/0

Thanks everyone for following my report and for your comments.

My laptop is back from the doctor, so I can continue..

Saturday 8th May 2021

It was our only morning of the trip at Kieliekrankie so we were up early to make the most of the sunrise.

Our plan was to go out for a morning drive along the Auob River before returning to KK to pack up.
Initially our trip up to Batulama and then down to Kamfersboob and back was relatively uneventful
Well not really, we had this amazing sighting of some gemsbok sparring in the early morning light.
