and soon settled in a clearing under a dead tree.

We watched them for a while as the cubs played, hoping that Catrin would carry on and possibly hunt

It was not to be, and before too long the three got up and disappeared into the long grass and over the dunes to the west.

Our next sighting of the day was that of the grader

Oh my! Cats of every description here - cheetah, leopard, lion, and the most prized AWC O/\ O/\ O/\ Lovely photos, your trip sounds like it was a dream trip. (The cobra may be a young/juv. mole snake as you can see its pattern even tho' it's very pale.)

Thanks for the feedback everyone :-)

We carried on north as far as Kransbak before turning around.
We had few sightings except for this Secretary bird strutting along

Whist this PCG posed beautifully for me

A special sighting of an ostrich family rounded up our morning drive.

After a pleasant afternoon in camp we set off for an evening drive

Earlier I had said that we hadn’t seen that many snakes this time around

I was wrong :o0ps:

In the weavers nest half way up to Kij Kij, this cape cobra was having some fun terrorizing the local inhabitants

And then not to be outdone, a medium sized puff adder decided to cross the road.

Everything was quiet for the rest of the drive, but you can always rely on some springboks in the afternoon sun to pose for a photo or two.
