Nice meerkats \O

I know that the campsites are quite far from each other, but it looks as if you had the whole place to yourselves O/\ O/\

Those covered triangles in wood, what are they supposed to be? Sun sheds? I have never seen anybody using them -O-

Sometimes people camp under them but we have never done so.

Difficult to pitch a tent on concrete lol

We use them occasionally for shade when it is really hot, but otherwise no.

A couple of long days in the car had taken its toll on us “old Toppies” so we decided that today we would go for a morning drive and see what transpires.

The road north was pretty awful, so we decided that south was the way to go. :-?

Before we got to Kousant, we had a road block in our path in the form of 6 juvenile bat eared foxes in the road.
Try as we may as we tried to pass them, they carried running down the road.

Concerned that they may get separated from their parents, we turned around and returned to a vacant Polenstwa waterhole.

Take two: After a while, we carried on down as far as Bedinkt where the waterhole provided some entertainment with the coming and going of the locals

Eventually we decided to return to camp for a chill day, so we returned back home

So... I take it one isn't able to camp at Polentswa any longer? Or was it only the lodge that burned down? Bad enough already, but I hope that the camp site survived, even if I'm not fond of camping. But to campers it must be the equivalent to a wilderness camp for people like me and I'd be devasted if I couldn't visit Grootkolk and the likes anymore. :-(

Catrin was a few steps ahead of you. She obviously moved up north from the previous day. :-)

Lovely batty sighting [Luv]

And a peaceful time out at camp just sounds like heaven. X#X

(Do you actually have a snake thingy with you in case one sneaks in through your open tent?)

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.
