Strange to be watching such dry scenes now in December! lol

Still my favourite time of year, though! ;-)

Certainly lots of oxpeckers on the giraffe!

And what an office, Rog! :-0 :-0

From Nkumbe you have a vast view on......nothing, which can be very relaxing and did not distract your concentration from the e-mails ;-) lol

Close to Lower Sabie we found some very red Piggies .Seems they had found a clay hole to roll in .
Image

We found some more pretty big birds
Image

Crossing the Bridge we found some large reptiles
Image

And an egret
Image

After a brief stop at Lower Sabie we stopped by Sunset dam and SO took picks of the Kingfisher .
Image

and a hippo surfer
Image

After a while we left to drive down to Crocodile Bridge we had just passed the bridge turnoff when we noticed some activity on the oposite bank .What is that we pulled over and found
Image

They were walking on the opposite bank then suddenly
Image

Image

They were watching something and crossing over .By this time we had attracted and huge following of vehicles spread out along the road watching them and we started trying to hopscotch the traffic to keep up with them
Image

eventually it became apparent they were hunting and they mostly hid into some reeds and we basically lost sight of them
Image

Cars were moving around up and down and the Impala close to the road picked up something and alerted and they all ran over the road the Lioness in the reeds stood up realizing they had been seen
Image

Suddenly a Lioness appeared in front of us she was obviously the one who was supposed to have come around to chase the Impala back towards the others .We had not even seen her before she popped out onto the road .
Image

Not an expert on Lion body language but we pretty sure there was some swearing going on . lol
Image

The others in the reeds all got up and started to move abandoning their hunt for now
Image

These were the most active Lions we had seen in the day time ... so far this trip O**

We decided to carry on our way to travel down the S28 to Croc Bridge and then onto Marloth ...
