On route to Tamboti during December we came upon this heartbreaking scene. At first we thought the Impala had a lucky escape from some sort of predator but on closer inspection it was clear that she was hit by a vehicle. She was standing next to the road and was visibly in so much pain that she just stood there without any effort of moving away from our vehicle. We immediately drove to Orpen to report the matter.

During the last week of our stay it rained hard and almost constantly and I was shocked at the staggering speed of some drivers. Does logic not tell one in such extreme conditions extra care should be taken while driving.
